50 Shades of Black is a team of artists committed to using the power of art to celebrate Black. In 2015, 50 Shades of Black launched United We Fight to support efforts to “advance the causes of justice and eliminate the causes of oppression.” 50 Shades of Black creator, Carlton Mackey, is the creative director for Freedom, Bound, director of Showing Up, and designer of the Freedom, Bound Gallery of Solidarity.
