Dream Defenders is building a powerful, deep, local, organization and movement for freedom and liberation in Florida. In 2015, Dream Defenders organized its first DDPalestine delegation with leaders in the movement for Black Lives and racial justice “to see the land and occupation up close, while engaging in dialogue and relationship building with Palestinians on the ground engaged in the struggle for justice.” Dream Defenders was one of 50 organization to launch the Vision for Black Lives platform, and issued a statement following the condemnation of the platform by some pro-Israel groups.  Rachel Gilmer, Dream Defenders’ Chief of Strategy speaks about their work and backlash in her 2017 keynote at the Jewish Voice for Peace National Membership Meeting.
